My name is Ela, a.k.a. Proud Palawena. I was born and raised in Palawan, Philippines. I am proud of where I came from. What’s not to be proud of? Palawan is the largest province in the Philippines according to my high school geography teacher. Surrounded by the ocean, it is popular for its white sand beaches and was voted The Best Island in the World by Travel + Leisure readers for 2016 and 2017. Also made it to the same magazine’s 15 Best Islands in the World for 2018, at #6. And again voted #1 Best Island in the World this 2020 by Travel + Leisure (readers.)
I am proud to be a province girl, specifically an island girl, there’s this fire in my heart every time. And I always like the feeling of it, especially now that I am far away. Not long ago, I married an American, moved to California and currently enjoying the love inside our tiny home with our three wonderful kids. Things are always handful, ALWAYS! But I chose to write(or type) and create this site, as well as its content, as my outlet. My getaway when I am not parenting and housewife-ing, if that’s even a word.
Entering the world of blogging, I don’t really know where to focus, which subject to stick to. All I know is, I want to write things. One possibility would be — how my world turned upside-down, inside-out, side-to-side moving halfway around the world for love, and family. I wanna share anything I’ve experienced. It might not be extra-ordinary or something to look up to but, I believe one’s experience differ from the others. And any experience is a learning experience. Whoa! So many word “experience”. Okay, let’s stop it there. So, hopefully you’ll come back and enjoy it.
