The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”

From the simple life in the island, I never imagined I’ll end up in the other side of the planet. Never expected that the weather isn’t just the only thing to adjust to. Lots of changes, other than the language, there’s the change of palate, way of living, tradition and/or culture differences .

From Island girl to US immigrant, what to expect?

I am just one out of many immigrants here in the US. But having firsthand experience now. Compared to what the media was showing in my home country, I'd say, it is very different.

This section will focus on how it is like having a life in a country different from ours. My paths may be different, experiences are not the same. What’s alike is that, I was once a stranger in now my so-called home. Therefore, don't you think it would be nice to get a hint of how others survived it. What kept them occupied or how they fought homesickness. I’m no-extraordinary, there’s nothing special about my story.

But you can come along with me. Learn about my journey.
